Advice from the KHDA about Face Masks

What you can bring to school:
Mobile phones
You may bring a mobile phone to school, but only if you feel it is necessary. However, it should be noted that students are not permitted to make calls at any point during the school day; if a call must be made or taken, it should be an emergency situation and the permission of the class teacher should be sought first. If a parent wishes to contact their child, this is possible via contacting school reception. The use of headphones/earphones is also prohibited, unless permission has been provided by the class teacher.
MP3 Players and Games Consoles
These items are not permitted in school under any circumstances.
Footballs, Cricket Bats and other Sports Equipment
Students should not bring their own footballs, cricket bats or sports equipment into school. We will provide footballs and sports equipment for use in designated areas at break and lunch times.
Procedures to take if sick or absent:
All absences must be reported to the Form Tutor via an email from your parent / carer by 08:00 on the day of absence.
Medical Appointments
Medical appointments should be made outside of school hours where possible. Where this is not possible, please advise your Form Tutor in writing in advance, and provide a copy of the hospital letter as proof of the appointment.
Planned Absence
If you require absence for another reason, please apply by email via the Form Tutor in advance providing the dates of absence and reason. Authorisation will be sent by the Vice Principal once the case has been reviewed in line with Academy policy. Please note that a maximum of 10 days planned absence is allowed each year.
